The Rogue Hero
Han Solo is one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars franchise. A Corellian smuggler turned hero, he first appeared in Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), portrayed by Harrison Ford. Initially a rogue pilot with a cynical outlook, Han becomes a key figure in the Rebel Alliance, fighting against the Galactic Empire alongside Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, and his loyal Wookiee companion, Chewbacca.
Han is the captain of the Millennium Falcon, a legendary starship known for its speed and maneuverability. Over the course of the original trilogy, he evolves from a self-serving smuggler into a courageous leader, eventually marrying Leia Organa and fathering Ben Solo, who later becomes Kylo Ren. His story continues in the sequel trilogy, where he attempts to bring his son back from the dark side before tragically meeting his fate at Kylo Ren’s hands.
Han Solo remains a fan-favorite character, celebrated for his wit, charm, and daring exploits. His legacy lives on in Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018), where Alden Ehrenreich portrays a younger version of the character, exploring his origins and how he came to own the Millennium Falcon.
